Adobe Captivate 7 Now Available
The latest version of Adobe Captivate is now available. It’s seems like Captivate 6 just came out, but the team over at Adobe has been busy with the latest version of their e-Learning software. Below are a few of the key new features, but stay tuned for a more in depth review:
New features in Captivate 7:
- Drag and Drop (this featured was initially introduced with Captivate 6.1) – Create drag and drop interactions that will work on both desktop/laptops and iPads
- HTML5 Support for Microsoft PowerPoint – Import your PowerPoint presentations and publish them to HTML5
- Enhanced Accessibility
- Enhanced Interactions Library – There are at least 7 new interactions, including Jeopardy
- Insert in-course Youtube videos to your slides
- In-course web browsing – insert web objects into your slides
- Course Notes – Learners will be able to insert notes into courses while they are taking the lesson
- System Audio Recording – You can now record system audio, along with narration
- Enhanced Support for HTML5 Quizzing – More of the questions types are now supported for HTML5 publishing
- Support for the GIFT format when creating quizzes. (Click HERE to learn more about the GIFT format)
- Adobe Captivate App Packager – Use PhoneGap to package your Adobe Captivate project into a mobile app
- Equation Editor – Quickly add mathematical equations into your Captivate project
- Enhanced Twitter Widget – Help learners collaborate with the enhanced Twitter widget
- Shared Advanced Actions – You can now export your Advanced Actions to use across projects
